Q. What are the different courses available for skill development?
Ans: The government of India offers many skill training courses to Indian youth, like DDU-GKY, RPL, PMKVY. Ampersand Group is a leading partner for many of these projects across India.
Q. What is the eligibility criteria to enrol in skill training programmes?
Ans: To enroll in short-term skill training courses like DDU-GKY, RPL and PMKVY, you must be an Indian youth from a rural area, aged 18-35 years of age, from a poor family, with a BPL card.
Q. I have not finished high school. Can I enroll in this course?
Ans: Std 10 pass or Std 12 pass is not necessary. All candidates holding a BPL Card and are between the ages of 18 and 35 years, are eligible for the training programs. For women and other vulnerable groups like persons with disabilities, the upper age limit is relaxed to 45 years.

Q. Who can apply for Skill Training Courses?
Ans: Rural youth from poor families in the age group of 15 to 35 years can apply.
Q. What are the sectors that I can get trained?
Ans: We currently offer short term skill training programmes for sectors of Healthcare, Tourism, Hospitality, Beauty and Wellness, Automative, Retail, CRM (Non-voice) and Web development.
Q. Is there a training fee?
Ans: These courses are free of charge as part of government initiatives.
Q. Are these classes part time or full time?
Ans: These courses are full-time. Duration varies from course to course.
Q. Will I receive a certificate on completion of the training? Who will be the accreditation authority?
Ans: Yes, every candidate who completes the course and clears the evaluation exam will receive a government-recognised certificate of training. The accreditation will be that of NSDC.
Q. What would be the duration of the training?
Ans: Each course is of 3-6 months duration.
Q. Is this a government course?
Ans: This is a government of India course and is implemented by partners like Ampersand Group. Course content, syllabus, learning materials are as per government rules.
Q. Is there a job guarantee after finishing this course?
Ans: After successfully completing the course, candidates receive placement. In case the candidate wishes to start his/ her own business in the same sector, assistance and guidance is provided.
