Vinesh Menon is a visionary business leader, deeply experienced and invested in the education sector. In the past decade spent in establishing and nurturing educational institutions from scratch, Vinesh has gained first-hand experience in almost all areas that define a learning ecosystem, including Learning Spaces Design, Academics and
Pedagogy Delivery, Technology and Innovation, Content Development & delivery, Teacher Recruitments, Training, Student Enrolments and Marketing.

Prior to devoting himself to the education sector, Vinesh spent 25 years serving organisations in the FMCG and KPO domains. He has also worked in various senior management capacities in the Banking and Financial Services organisations. His experience in Channel Management and BFSI services helps in enabling strong asset owner and partner alliances in a short period of time. He has worked on innovative school management models, including the ‘Build and Operate’ model, and he successfully engineered an ‘Asset Light Model’ in his first K12 project, facilitating high quality, affordable school education in tier 3 towns of India.

At Ampersand, Vinesh is the CEO – Human Development and Social Impact. Having gained rich, deep and holistic experience in establishing and handling K12 schools, he oversees Ampersand’s education-related projects, addressing the organisational vision of providing quality education to all. As a member of the senior leadership, he also contributes to the strategy for over growth and expansion of the Ampersand Group.

His primary focus is enabling Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) projects, forging strategic associations with state bodies to partner in the operations and management of early childhood educational institutions, like Balwadis, Anganwadis and Creches. Such projects are underway in many states of India, with over 790 ECCE centres catering to 26000+ children.  He has successfully delivered on many popular government backed programs, which include care and learning for children of construction workers, improving enrolments across Balwadis of a large Municipal Corporation, delivering the state government’s mandate to replace textbooks through content loaded digital devices, enhancing the quality of education board schools, enabling teacher training for government school teachers, to name a few.

Vinesh is also a writer and an avid speaker, actively participating in educational conferences and seminars. He has been recognised for his visionary understanding of the education landscape, and has been invited to deliver keynote speeches at many events. Vinesh envisages the Ampersand Group as the single largest, one-stop group, with end-to-end capabilities to serve the ‘cradle to career’ cycle of at 10 million lives in India and beyond.
